One of our very first posts on IDM was based around our expanding idea of “The Vegas Frame” which can be read here . Today we are going to expand this idea of the Vegas Frame into the realm of relationships.

I’ve seen many relationships sour after months/years when the guy becomes a jealous pussy. Yes, I’m going to call some of you out, heck I’m even calling out my old self in this one.

Girls are generally attracted to a man with a passion, a focus and a goal for life. If we travel back to the Caveman days the dominant males that had all the cavegirls. Let’s ask why? Well he would have been healthy, the best hunter and probably the best provider for his tribe. He’d be watchful and caring while being strong and protective. Would he be worried that other weaker cavemen would take his place? Most likely not, because he’d know deep down that he was the best hunter.

Now in modern days we don’t have to club our food or fend off sabertooth tigers but we do have to have a purpose, to be a provider to have a goal and a direction, we have to be Men. This is what attracts women to us. Don’t believe me? Then why do women go nuts for the ugly haggered Mic Jagger? because he is the updated version of a dominant caveman, he’s got goals, he has purpose and he doesn’t worry about some kid in a garage playing a guitar or some other guy stealing away his women.

He lives in the Vegas Frame, he has nothing to lose and everything to gain. Imagine if our Caveman got really jealous and lovey, stopped going hunting with his best caveman friends and decided to hang out in his cave all the time, he was really possessive of his cavegirl and became whiney. What would happen? His cavegirl would lose attraction for him because he was no longer the dominant caveman she fell for and she would quickly find the new dominant caveman to take his place. What if Mic Jager quit the rolling stones and played video games and worked at McDonalds, I can promise that the only women lining up to see him would be ordering a Double quarter pounder with fries from the creepy haggered old guy behind the counter.

So now I’m speaking to your inner caveman. To keep your Vegas Frame you need to keep your purpose in life, if your wife fell in love with you while you were working as a pilot and you played cards with your friends on weekends and enjoyed golfing with the boys. That is the man she wants, she doesn’t want you deciding to stay home with her and be a whiney loser when she goes out with her friends. She is attracted to the strong independent man she has. Not the needy whiney man that you have become (or could become). The biggest issue here is that she’ll start to go out more and more and you’ll become more and more needy and whiney and jealous. She’ll see this jealousy of other men and the fear that she might leave which will force her to wonder why you think there are better men for her. In this new light she’ll start to find ways that other men are better than you instead of why you are better than other men.

How do you avoid this? you keep living life like you are in Vegas. You should love your girlfriend/wife but be the man you have always been, if you played Hockey Friday nights keep playing hockey Friday nights. You need to keep your high roller status that she initially fell for you need to have your purpose. Remember it’s Win-Win in our Vegas frame so make it your frame. Kick out your inner pussy, put on your best bond tux and live your life, have your purpose and go club some animals. Your Cavegirl will love more for it.
